Your final festive flourishes
You certainly won’t need reminded that Christmas is just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still time for some final flourishes to do something a bit different with your interiors this festive season.
My advice this year is to embrace a few more modern design elements, so you can introduce a chic new style while avoiding going over old ground.
To help, I’ve come up with four quick, easy decorating ideas you can use to create a stylish holiday atmosphere that feels fresh, elegant and original this Christmas:
Neutral-toned wreaths
Experiment with different plants like dried eucalyptus, pampas grass, or olive branches to craft a minimalist wreath. Add a silk ribbon in a neutral tone like taupe or blush for a sophisticated chic touch.
Chic candle clusters
Arrange pillar candles of varying heights on a metallic or ceramic tray. Choose candles in monochromatic tones like white, grey, or beige for understated elegance.
Terrariums with seasonal touches
Fill geometric glass terrariums with white pebbles, fairy lights, and small pinecones or ornaments in metallic tones like rose gold or bronze.
Magical mirrors
Place mirrored trays on your coffee table or console. Add decorative objects like candles, ornaments, or minimalistic sculptures to reflect light and create that magical festive ambiance.
My final piece of advice: We all know how overwhelming this time of year can be, so if even the above tips are a step too far, don’t stress! Keep things simple and focus on what matters most to you, whether that’s family, friends - or food!
If you don’t read another newsletter from me this year (there is one more planned), then I wish you all a very happy Christmas.
