Take your ceilings above and beyond

One of the most common design habits I see in homes of every style, is the automatic use of brilliant white for ceilings. It’s such a default choice that many people never stop to question it. But changing your ceiling colour can completely alter the feel of a room, and give you a home that feels like it’s been curated by a professional interior designer.

Below you’ll see I have paired three wall colours with ceiling colours that you could use as an alternative to a bright white - a simple interior design element for you to consider as a way of making your room feel curated and, oftentimes, bigger. This guiding principle can be applied to other wall colours also.

In my accompanying video “No more white ceilings”, I go into much more detail and share thoughts to consider on how these combinations could elevate your interior, making a space feel calmer, warmer, more enveloping, and even larger. It’s a surprisingly simple change, but one that can have a real impact.
